Peridot


The  name of this gem comes from Arabic word  'Faridat’ which means: The gemstone.

Peridot is a gemstone variety from the olivine mineral group.

It is found in volcanic rocks and it is too, the only gemstone which has been found inside meteorites.

Olivine is a very abundant mineral, but Peridot gem quality is quite unique and rare.

Bright green colour to yellow/green, can be easily confused with the finest emeralds.

It is the gem of the month of August.
